Procession:

(NOTE: Instructions here are approximate.)

The servers will gather in front of the altar the same way they do when preparing to recess out.

There will be either a server holding a large umbrella, or a large canopy held by 4 laymen over the celebrant carrying the Monstrance.

Unless told otherwise, choir will follow immediately behind the servers.

As soon as the celebrant & servers depart the altar:

Beginning the Eucharistic Procession: “Pange Lingua", Blue Book, H# 122

During the Eucharistic Procession: “Adoro Te, Devote”, Blue Book, H# 101

“Ave Verum Corpus”, Blue Book, H# 103

“Jesu, Dulcis Memoria”, Blue Book, H# 90

“Te Deum” Solemn Tone, P. 540,  Liber Brevior - Training Video Here - Te Deum Laudámus (Solemn Tone) (Gregorian Chant) (youtube.com)

“Lauda Sion”, P. 282, Liber Brevior or H# 106, Blue book

We will process & sing simultaneously until the celebrant reaches a small altar somewhere along the route.

When he places the Monstrance on this altar, we begin the “Tantum Ergo”:

At both Altars along the Way: “Tantum Ergo”, Blue Book, H# 132

This year, there will be 2 small altars at which we will stop.

If this altar along the way is NOT in the church, then when celebrant & servers depart this small altar, we will resume singing the above “During Procession” hymns.

Once we return, celebrant will bless the entire congregation with the Monstrance, following which he will put it back into the Tabernacle.

After that:

Recessional: Holy God We Praise Thy Name, Blue Book, H# 217 - Parts.
